Founded in Buea in 2019 by local educators, entrepreneurs, and development professionals, MCYCF was born from a simple belief: community transformation starts with empowering young people.
Inspired by the resilience of communities around Mount Cameroon, we've grown from leadership workshops into a multi-program organization serving the South West, Littoral, and Centre Regions of Cameroon.
Two flagship projects currently transforming communities across the South West Region.
A center for entrepreneurship, innovation, and skills development giving young people in Buea the tools, workspace, and mentorship to build viable businesses and careers. The co-working space opened in January 2026 with its first training cohort already enrolled.
A five-year landscape restoration campaign targeting degraded land around Mount Cameroon. With 50,000 trees planted across five communities, the campaign is already halfway to its goal — and expanding. Running through December 2028.
"The entrepreneurship training helped me launch my fashion business and employ two people. MCYCF didn't just give me skills — they gave me belief in what's possible."
"The leadership academy transformed my confidence and opened scholarship opportunities I never thought I could reach. I now mentor younger students from my community."
"I watched our community come together to plant trees on land that was bare just months ago. That's not a project — that's a movement. MCYCF made it possible."
Every contribution — no matter the size — goes directly to programs serving youth, women, and communities across the South West Region.
Our programs directly contribute to five of the 17 SDGs adopted by the United Nations.
